新加坡2020年6月11日 /美通社/ -- Alliance to End Plastic Waste（簡稱「該聯盟」）今天宣佈與美國國際開發署 (USAID) 達成了一項新的合作關係，通過在亞洲快速開展城市化建設的城市執行本地化解決方案應對全球海洋塑料污染問題。該協議將彙集聯盟40多家主要全球成員公司，並利用美國國際開發署全新海洋塑料污染旗艦項目「清潔的城市，藍色的海洋」(Clean Cities, Blue Ocean) 的優勢。

確定並幫助部署針對地區的創新技術、基礎設施和商業模式，以減少和緩解許多城市和社區面臨的垃圾管理和回收危機；
推動、教育和促進個人、當地企業和跨國公司的行為改變，促進更加可持續的做法；以及
支持有效政策和條例的制定和執行。

此外，合作雙方還將努力尋找機會，改善正式和非正式部門工作人員以及社區中其他未被充分代表的成員的生活、健康和安全，他們都是城市垃圾管理和衛生的核心。
