他說：「香港人愛吃，他們選擇最優質的食品。大米也不例外。泰國茉莉香米是所有泰國大米中品質最高的。」

Kenneth Chan 先生說，在所有品種中，泰國茉莉香米因其「柔軟、芳香和外觀」而受到華人的青睞。「香港進口商現在購進的泰國茉莉香米越來越多。在烹飪之前，它就有一種獨特的香味。烹飪之後，從電飯煲里冒出的香味讓我們聞起來是一種獨特的、非常新鮮的香味。」

在香港，泰國茉莉香米是全世界大米中最受歡迎的品種。香港政府的數據顯示，泰國大米佔香港全球大米進口的52.3%，而泰國茉莉香米佔泰國大米進口總量的90.4%。「因為泰國茉莉香米一年只產一季，所以非常珍貴。」
