西班牙巴塞隆拿2024年2月29日 /美通社/ -- 據六屆非洲最佳女足球員 Asisat Oshoala 和全球電訊貿易組織 GSMA 表示，各國政府必須採取更多措施，確保其市民具備必要的數碼技能，以便獲取網絡提供的機會。

Oshoala 曾代表尼日利亞出賽 61 次，也是拉各斯 Asisat Oshoala Foundation 的創辦人。她作為 GSMA Breaking Barriers（打破障礙）活動大使，在 2024 年巴塞隆拿 MWC 上提及「使用差距」問題，這個問題影響全球 30 億人，在撒哈拉以南非洲地區尤其普遍。

「使用差距」指的是人們雖然居住在有網絡覆蓋的地方，卻沒有使用行動寬頻網絡。隨著基礎建設的改善，以及網絡覆蓋範圍擴展到全球 95% 的人口，電訊業正面臨著幫助更多的人充分運用互聯服務的更大挑戰。

全球有 38% 人口居住在網絡覆蓋地區，但無法使用流動網絡，而在撒哈拉以南非洲地區，這個使用差距更提升到 59%。造成這一使用差距的主要障礙是缺乏數碼素養和技能。
