這座新近完工的太陽能發電廠位於日本北部的青森縣，預計每年可生產超過 75 GWh 的清潔能源，足以滿足青森市 11% 的居民能源需求（約 15,600 戶家庭），並可抵消每年 35,000 噸的二氧化碳排放量。青森太陽能發電廠是世界上積雪最厚的城市之一有效利用雙面太陽能板的成功範例。
