東京2019年3月29日 /美通社/ -- Kirin Beverage Co., Ltd. 已透過減輕瓶蓋重量，成功將其2升塑料瓶的重量從28.9克（截至2019年3月20日的日本最輕2升塑料瓶）降至28.3克。這是該公司根據「Kirin Group 塑料政策」的「提高塑料瓶原材料的可持續性」的成果。「Kirin 集團塑料政策」是麒麟控股株式会社 (Kirin Holdings Co., Ltd.) 的一項計劃，旨在促進塑料的可持續利用和資源循環。更輕的塑料瓶將於今年4月開始用於「Kirin Alkali Ion Water」。

這款首次亮相的2升塑料瓶重28.3克，是日本當下最輕的2升塑料瓶，與 Kirin Group 的包裝技術研究實驗室聯合開發，通過修改瓶蓋的螺紋部分，用更窄的螺紋和更短的螺絲釘成功地減輕了瓶子的重量。

通過使用這個塑料瓶，該公司每年能夠將聚對苯二甲酸乙二醇酯 (PET) 樹脂的使用量降低約107噸*，並將二氧化碳排放量減少約375噸*。

長期以來，Kirin Beverage 一直致力於減少對環境的影響。在開發環保容器和包裝時，該公司於2003年6月為2升塑料瓶的「Alkali Ion Water」推出了超輕「pecology 瓶」，將其重量從原來的63克降至42克。「Pecology 瓶」於2005年3月被用於2升塑料瓶的「Kirin Nama-cha（綠茶）」和「Kirin Amino Supli」，並於2008年4月被用於1.5升塑料瓶的「Kirin Gogo no Kocha（紅茶）」。
