AAHRPP又為四家研究機構提供認證

其中一家位於台灣，還有三家在美國

華盛頓2018年12月20日電 /美通社/ -- Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs（美國人體研究保護項目認證協會，簡稱「AAHRPP」）今天宣佈，又有四家研究機構獲得了AAHRPP認證。這四家機構包括台灣的一個學術性醫學中心，以及美國的一個獨立機構審查委員會和兩所公立研究型大學。

獲得新的AAHRPP認證的四家機構是：

高雄醫學大學附設中和紀念醫院（位於台灣高雄）
審查委員會Prime Review Board（位於馬里蘭州羅克維爾）
馬里蘭大學派克分校(University of Maryland, College Park)（位於馬里蘭州）
內華達大學拉斯維加斯分校(University of Nevada, Las Vegas)（位於內華達州）

這四家機構現在和全球超過600個實體一道致力於遵守AAHRPP在合乎倫理道德的高品質研究上面的高標準。

AAHRPP主席兼行政總裁Elyse I. Summers表示：「在當今的全球研究環境中，合作與多站點研究已經成為常態，而對所涉及的機構、研究參與者和整個研究領域來說，每個AAHRPP認證都能帶來強大的積極影響。」

為了獲得AAHRPP認證，機構必須證明它們已經在各個研究操作層面上採取了廣泛的安全措施，並且要能堅持研究方面的高標準。

AAHRPP已經為美國、比利時、巴西、加拿大、中國內地、印度、墨西哥、韓國、沙特阿拉伯、新加坡、南非、台灣和泰國的機構進行了認證。

所有主要的美國獨立機構審查委員會都通過了AAHRPP認證。此外，70%的美國醫學院和84%的美國國立衛生研究院（National Institutes of Health，簡稱「NIH」）提供資助的頂級學術醫學中心不是通過了AAHRPP認證，就是已經開始了接受認證的過程。全球最大的公立研究資助機構NIH與臨床研究最大的行業贊助者輝瑞公司（Pfizer, Inc.）也通過了AAHRPP認證。
