東京2023年1月25日 /美通社/ -- 2023年1月24日，國際科學技術財團(The Japan Prize Foundation)公佈2023年日本國際賞(Japan Prize)得主。中澤正隆(Masataka Nakazawa)教授和萩本和男(Kazuo Hagimoto)先生（這兩位均來自於日本）共同獲得了電子、信息和通信領域日本國際賞。來自於奧地利的Gero Miesenboeck教授和來自於美國的Karl Deisseroth教授，成為生命科學領域日本國際賞的共同獲獎者。

在今年的日本國際賞評選中，中澤教授和萩本先生通過開發半導體激光器泵浦光放大器，來為全球長途大容量光纖網絡做出突出貢獻，由此獲得表彰，Miesenboeck教授和Deisseroth教授則是由於開發新方法而獲獎，他們的新方法利用在遺傳上面可操作的光敏膜蛋白，來解開神經回路功能的奧秘。

為了進行2023年日本國際賞評選，國際科學技術財團請全球約15,500名傑出科學家和工程師，提名在今年評獎領域開展工作的研究人員。該組織獲得了電子、信息和通信領域的123項提名，並在生命科學領域獲得了204項提名。今年的獲獎者從總共327名候選者中選出。

日本國際賞簡介

日本國際賞於1981年設立，初衷是日本政府希望設立一個國際公認的獎項，能夠為全世界的科技發展做出貢獻。在收到大量捐款後，國際科學技術財團於1983年獲得了日本內閣府的支持。

日本國際賞授予來自世界各地的科學家和工程師，他們取得了創造性的卓越成就，幫助他們所在領域取得進步，為實現全人類的和平與繁榮做出了重大貢獻。該獎項面向所有科技領域的研究人員，每年會根據當前的科技發展趨勢選擇其中兩個領域。原則上來說，每個領域都有一人能夠榮獲該獎項，並獲得證書、獎章和獎金。每屆頒獎典禮的嘉賓包括現任日本天皇和皇后，三個政府部門的負責人和其他相關官員，以及來自社會各階層的代表。
