2022年11月，總部位於東京的TransferJet Consortium（以下簡稱「TJC」）旗下成員HRCP Research and Development Partnership高速近接無線技術研究組合（以下簡稱「HRCP R&D」）在印度新德里周邊的幾個地鐵站開展了高速內容分發服務的現場試驗。通過這項服務，用戶只需觸摸所使用的設備，即可以極高的速度下載電影和遊戲。

試驗概述：

通過連接到安卓智能手機的TransferJet X加密狗，參與者可以在HRCP R&D開發的應用程序上選擇自己喜歡的內容類型。然後，只需在地鐵站觸摸「觸摸點」（傳輸設備），所選內容（例如一部時長2小時的高清電影）在2秒內即可完成傳輸。內容受數字版權管理(DRM)保護。HRCP R&D正在開發TransferJet X的SoC（片上系統）技術(https://www.hrcp.jp/en)。

TJC帶領IEEE工作組成功制定了IEEE 802.15.3e標準修正案，在ITU Radiocommunication Sector(ITU-R)成功制定了M.2003-2建議。基於這兩個標準，TJC於2022年5月發佈了使用60GHz毫米波無線電的TransferJet X技術標準。該標準建立了高達13.1 Gbps的高速數據傳輸，同時保持操作簡單，並實現了4K視頻或VR等超大容量內容傳輸。此外，所需的連接設置時間已縮短至2毫秒或更短，支持新的使用場景，例如在通過檢票口時傳送內容。
