發佈會上，南京江北新區管理委員會科技創新局副局長李小春表示，創新是南京江北新區與生俱來的基因。成立五年來，大量優秀的高層次人才落地江北新區創新創業；落戶新區的企業相較五年前翻了一番，高新技術企業數量年均增長超30%，有效發明專利擁有量年均增長超20%。

中國經濟信息社江蘇中心主任陳希希介紹，《創新的熱土——南京江北新區打造「創新強磁場」》聚焦江北新區成立五年來的創新實踐，先後調研了30餘家高新技術企業、新型研發機構、產業發展平台等創新主體以及10餘位行業專家、企業代表，以理論與案例相結合的形式完成編寫，旨在為我國國家級新區深化改革創新，走好高質量發展道路提供有益探索。
