台北2020年8月4日 /美通社/ -- Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI)今日宣佈與英特爾(Intel)攜手開發因應5G網路設計挑戰的彈性無線電平台,此平台協助客戶以更低成本來迅速擴展5G網路規模。新型無線電平台整合ADI射頻(RF)收發器之先進技術及英特爾Arria 10現場可程式化閘陣列(FPGA)的高性能及低功耗特性,新設計工具使開發人員能更輕鬆地創建優化的5G解決方案。

隨著人們越趨採用數位化方式來進行商業活動,隨時隨地獲取和傳輸資料需求使通訊市場加速發展以因應頻寬和延遲方面的挑戰。由於私有網路和公共空間之現有無線網路流量大幅增加,因此無線網路營運業者希望能縮短開發時間,同時以經濟高效的方式實現可提高5G網路容量、性能和可靠性的新型解決方案。透過結合開放標準和現有通訊鏈路,行動網路營運業者正制定一套更廣泛的技術規範,同時支援漸增的用例。 

ADI無線通訊事業部副總裁Joe Barry表示:「新型無線電平台可降低設計總成本並縮短客戶產品上市時間,同時無損降低系統性能。透過整合ADI收發器所具有的先進數位前端(DFE)功能和英特爾的領先FPGA技術,我們將滿足客戶對解決方案的高性能要求,同時透過更高彈性更高效地解決新興網路問題。」

此款符合O-RAN規範之高性能解決方案採用ADI領先的軟體定義收發器(包括創新的DFE功能)以及英特爾的Arria A10 FPGA以建立高度彈性的架構。此次協作使設計人員能進行頻率、頻段和功率客製,以更低的成本實現更高的系統性能。
